The Wedding Parrrtayyy

Now that the home broadband is up and running, I’m dusting the cobwebs off this space and starting on my backdated entries.

Let’s go way back and start with the overdue wedding recap, shall we?

What I remember most about our big day wasn’t the gatecrashing (nonexistent for us), the moment my Dad walked me down the aisle (a really mini one in our case), the solenmnisation where we both got a little emo or the first dance we shared as husband and wife.

It was clearly the post wedding party.

Even as we go through our wedding photos today, it is evident that we were relaxed and having the most fun as we we let our hair down and boogied the night away at the after party with our friends.

And thanks to Ead, we’ve got these incriminating pictorial evidence of us partayying, which we can proudly show to our kids in future and say “Seeee, we were cool!”.

Feels Like Home

Hello from the Shire!

Tonight's our sixth night here and although the floor's perpetually dusty despite cleaning it every day, unpacked boxes in every corner and some minor touch ups remaining, we're nicely settled in and I'm loving every bit of the home we have put together.

New house keys with our souvenir keychains from our honeymoon

More photos to come as soon as the home broadband is up. In the meantime, I'm just glad I can tap on the iPhone's personal hotspot to do my daily Internet surfing.

(P.S Can you believe slots to set up mio Home are full for two weekends? Tsk.)

Outfits: Playing Dre$$ Up

When I got tagged by The Pleasure Monger to feature my budget friendly look, I thought, considering how I buy from blogshops all the time, that doing up this post would be a breeze.

But I was wrong.

The challenge, I soon realised, was trying to take a decent shot of myself in the outfit.

Pardon the grainy photo and poor lighting but this is what I wore for a wedding dinner on Saturday night.

Maxi dress - BonitoChico (now known as Love,Bonito)
Clutch - Love, Bonito
Sandals - Charles & Keith

By the way, I don't know how they do it but kudos to the lovely ladies - The Pleasure Monger, Faerie Imp and Yann, for making self-portraits look so effortless!

Cleaning Out My Closet

It's Friday night and I'm at home enjoying some me time while the husband is having a boys' night out with his bffs.

I was supposed to have dinner with the ex-colleagues at Tampopo but I turned the invite down.

With barely a week left to the big move, I have to make the most of my free time to start packing, somehow.

But before I do so, I need to do what I've been procrastinating for the longest time - clear my wardrobe, full of clothes which I haven't worn in ages (yes, I'm a hoarder) because there's no way I'm going to bring everything to the Shire.

I think my task will certainly be a lot more fun if I could do a Take or Toss session, like the one Carrie did below, complete with girlfriends and a bottle of bubbly :)
